Mia

Mia
I wonder what it is like to be born lucky. The girl I am going to tell you about is definitely one of that kind – born lucky.
From the day this baby was born everyone tried to satisfy all her desires and needs. She lied down in a gorgeous carved wooden cradle. She slept on silk sheets and ate with a golden spoon. This girl had been waited for too long and when her parents discovered that they were going to have a child, they were the happiest people I had ever known.

I remember the day when I went to see her in the maternity hospital … A white baby with red cheeks was lying in a little bed made of glass. She was wearing pink pants and a white cap. She was just gorgeous! I had never seen such a beautiful baby. She even had hair - thick and blonde and her eyes were round and blue…. They called her Mia (diminutive of Maria).
Now three years later Mia is a wonderful child. She dreams of becoming a princess, living in a castle and growing a tree with sweets in the back yard.

When her mom is busy at the atelier, she often sneaks into her room and pokes about the jewelry box. She has a favorite pearl necklace that she puts on. She stands in front of the big mirror and looks at herself. She tries on all the bracelets and uses Mimi’s perfume. When she hears that the atelier door is being opened she quickly hides under the quilts. Only two naughty pigtails always jut out :))
This story is about my daughter, because she like Mia is one happy child – born lucky and surrounded by a lot of love

  2. A very nice doll!!!But may I say, that I would have done the mouth-stitch about 2 cm higher? we learnd in waldorf-school, that the face has to be an isosceles triangle... I hope, that I did´nt offend you. But I looked at the picture of the doll and searched for her mouth, and only after a few seconds I found it where I expected the chin...
